I graduated from high school in Adams County, Ohio, and from Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky, in December 1990, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration – Management.  After working for many years in Corporate America, I enrolled in PIMA Community College’s Post-Degree Teacher Certification Program to fulfill my lifelong dream of teaching children.  I am continuing my studies at PIMA Community College in the area of Special Education for Mild-Moderate Disabilities.

My experience working in the Public Education sector began in January 2016 when my husband and I bought a second home in the Green Valley RV Resort.  I briefly worked at Sahuarita Unified School District as an Instructional Aide in the Middle School Special Education Department, before returning to Kentucky to sell our home and business there.  While in Kentucky, I fulfilled the requirements for a Substitute Teaching Certificate in Arizona.  After selling our Kentucky properties, I permanently moved to Arizona with my husband and once again joined the staff at Sahuarita Unified School District.  

From January 2017 through May 2020, I worked in the Middle School Special Education Department at SUSD as an Instructional Aide, five months as a Long-Term Substitute Teacher, and one full year as Teacher of Record on an Emergency Teaching Certificate.

Throughout my years of working in Corporate America, I developed training programs and taught classroom and on-the-job training skills to adult workers. 

I enjoy water sports, camping, reading, and crocheting.
